1. You Are Buying a Tier, Not a Treatment
A price next to the word HydraFacial on a menu is incomplete information, because the manufacturer sells the treatment in named tiers and most practices carry more than one. Without the tier name, two quotes are not comparable.
The manufacturer names three. Signature is described as the foundational treatment, designed to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate in one service. Deluxe builds on that by adding a targeted booster and LED light therapy for more concern specific customization. Platinum is described as the most comprehensive tier, adding lymphatic drainage to the Deluxe treatment.
Read that sequence carefully, because it tells you where the money goes. The core steps are the same across all three. What you pay more for is a booster serum, a light therapy pass and a drainage step, each of which adds time to the appointment as much as it adds product.
So the first question at any practice is simply which tier this price is for, and the second is whether the booster in a Deluxe or Platinum quote is included or billed on top. Practices differ on that, and the gap is often larger than the gap between their headline rates.
