Med spa questions in Wichita

How many medical spas does Wichita have on this register, and how were they selected?

The Wichita section includes 13 medical spas. They were found through Google Maps searches for medical spa, med spa, Botox and aesthetics practices in Wichita, Kansas (November 2026), and each address was checked against the Census city limits. Each practice's own website was checked for medical aesthetic services and a named clinician or medical oversight, and a reviewed photo of the current location was required. Surgical-only practices, IV-only lounges, day spas, salons and esthetician-only studios were excluded. The cohort averages a 4.9 Google rating, with 6 practices holding a 5.0 rating. Listings are ordered using confidence-weighted ratings that balance star rating against review volume. No practice paid for placement on this register.

Who is legally authorized to inject Botox and dermal fillers in Kansas?

None of the Kansas statutes reviewed here names Botox, neurotoxins or dermal fillers. K.S.A. 65-2869, a statute, deems persons who prescribe, recommend or furnish drugs, or perform any surgical operation, for the diagnosis, cure or relief of any wounds, fractures, bodily injury, infirmity, disease or other listed conditions to be engaged in the practice of medicine and surgery. K.S.A. 65-2872 exempts persons whose professional services are performed under the supervision or by order of a practitioner licensed under the healing arts act. K.S.A. 65-28,127 says a supervising licensee may delegate only acts the licensee knows or has reason to believe the person can competently perform. K.S.A. 65-1113 defines nursing to include the execution of the medical regimen as prescribed by a person licensed to practice medicine and surgery. K.S.A. 65-28a08 lets physician assistants practice medicine only under the direction and supervision of a physician. The esthetician definition in K.S.A. 65-1901 covers noninvasive beautifying processes for esthetic rather than medical purposes. Board of Nursing Practice Committee minutes from March 2023, a meeting record rather than a rule, said there were then no regulations surrounding med spas or Botox.

How can I verify a Wichita injector's professional license?

The Kansas State Board of Healing Arts runs a Licensee & Registrant Profile Search that covers medical doctors, osteopathic doctors and physician assistants, among others. At least one field must be specified, and the specialty field for MDs and DOs is self-reported and not independently verified by the board. For nurses, the Board of Nursing says its online verification system is the primary source for nursing license status verification in Kansas, and it describes Nursys QuickConfirm as a free secondary source. For an esthetician, the Kansas Board of Cosmetology has a practitioner license search in which license type is a required field. That board says it makes no warranty about the accuracy of the information on its website. Ask your provider for their full name and license type before treatment.
